Introduction
Green Planet Engineering Services (GPES) is a multi-disciplinary consulting company for ‘green’ and sustainable building services engineering, for the construction environment.
It houses the Green Planet group of companies' designing professionals like Quantity Surveyors, civil and mechanical and electrical engineers, architects and project managers.
Phrases such as Climate Change, Global Warming, ‘green buildings’ being the buzz words of the decades GPES focuses on making the concepts of sustainability become a reality by applying passive engineering principles to buildings.
The way buildings operate and are designed have to drastically change if we are to have a reversal of global warming. We believe that having project managers and consulting engineers on board from the concept stages of a project at the same time with the Architect, we can design a building with positive environmental impacts and with a relatively competitive cost to a conventional building.

GPES is here to assist Architects, Developers, Property owners and anyone in the building environment, with the responsible engineering of a building’s services. We can assist with providing our clients with years of knowledge and research that will reduce the water and energy consumption of a building thus saving the property owner money with regards to operational costs.

Sustainable initiatives associated with the various disciplines, comes standard as we understand the vital role we play in environmentally responsible engineering.
In addition, with Greenstar SA accredited professionals and along with our partners, we offer green building design & as-built submission services. This will focus on clients who want their visions of a ‘green building’ to be certified with Green Building Council of South Africa (GreenStar SA). Although an intensive process a GreenStar SA certification will put our clients buildings in amongst the elitist buildings in the country.

Wet Services on Sun International's prestigious Time Square Hotel, Pretoria
Wet Services contract awarded on FireStation Rosebank Project
The project includes the second oldest building in Rosebank, making it a "heritage project". Green Planet takes pride in being part of the renaissance of the Rosebank area.
The Shanga Village Project
The Shangha Village Residential Development was done on behalf of Dr John Kudjoe. The development consisted of 80 two bedroom units with top quality finishes. Green Planet Engineering Services was contracted to manage the project from ground works to the final handover to the client. The project was completed within the set budget and timeframes.
The @Home Development
Project Management and Wet Services
The @Home Development is situated in Berea Johannesburg. It consists of 32 two bedroom units. Green Planet Engineering Services is responsible for the project management on behalf of the client, Ikamvelihle Investments.
The Wet Services Division of Green Planet Engineering Services forms part of the project, adding value to it in this regard. The project's estimated occupation date is set to be February 2017.
